Compression Therapy

What is Compression?

Compression therapy is a wellness treatment that uses gentle, controlled pressure to support the body’s natural circulation and recovery processes. Through advanced air-powered systems like the Normatec 3 full-body device, inflatable sleeves rhythmically compress the arms, legs, and hips. This helps stimulate blood flow and lymphatic movement, supporting the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues.

Benefits

  • Eases muscle tension and supports recovery
  • Stimulates circulation and cellular renewal
  • Encourages deep relaxation and overall balance
  • Improved mood and energy

  • Reduced pain and inflammation
  • Increased collagen production and skin health

Who’s it For?

Compression therapy is ideal for anyone looking to support recovery, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension.

It’s especially beneficial for athletes, active individuals, and anyone experiencing soreness, stiffness, swelling, or poor circulation. It’s also a great option for people who want to speed up recovery after workouts, long days on their feet, or physically demanding routines.

The Compression Experience

A compression sleeve session typically lasts 30–60 minutes. When you’re ready, a trained specialist will guide you to a dedicated relaxation area where you can sit back and unwind. They’ll help fit the compression sleeves to your chosen area—legs, arms, or hips.

Once you’re comfortably set up, you’re free to relax, listen to music, read, or work on your laptop while the treatment runs. The sleeves gently inflate and release in cycles of pressurized air throughout the session, creating a rhythmic compression designed to support circulation and recovery.

After your session, your specialist will assist with removing the sleeves. Many clients leave feeling lighter, more relaxed, and notice reduced muscle tightness, stiffness, and discomfort.

How Does Compression Work?

Compression therapy supports the body by improving circulation and increasing blood flow to targeted areas. This enhanced circulation helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues, which may support recovery, ease soreness, and improve overall athletic performance.

At our spa, we use the Normatec 3 full-body compression system, an advanced air compression technology designed for a more complete recovery experience. Unlike traditional compression socks or stockings, this system uses dynamic air-filled sleeves and attachments that comfortably surround the legs, arms, and hips.

The Normatec 3 system works by using controlled pulses of compressed air to gently massage the limbs and hips, helping stimulate circulation, reduce muscle tightness, and support faster recovery throughout the entire body.
